Typical project issues
Projects can often miss deadlines, exceed budgets or fail to meet the users’ needs. Recent independent research shows that some of the reasons are that only 33% of projects have an execution plan that integrates all phases of the project into a single schedule, that less than 50% of projects focus on the critical project tasks, and only 24% of projects include available resources in their execution plan.

Practical methods
“Project Management Breakthroughs” teaches an internationally proven method for planning and managing projects, in a highly practical way. It is a 3-day intensive programme built upon unique case studies. Each case study is designed to allow the participants hands-on experience with the project planning process. Participants work in small teams, and by the end of the programme have a thorough understanding of project planning and resourcing, which they can start applying the next day, using the planning kit provided.

• Produce a Design for the Project to meet the Needs + Budget
• Create a detailed Execution Plan which is logical and achievable
• Minimise Risks through planning for contingencies
• Allocate Resources in the most effective way
• Have detailed control of Finances
• Establish the ‘Critical Path’ of the vital project stages, with an easy method
• Prepare to load the Execution Plan in to Project Software
• Be able to cope with Changes to the Project if required
• Learn from the Experience of each Project with a thorough Review Process
